All Vintage porn from Climax Original studio
Climax, Climax Films, and Climax Original are 8mm film series. Founded in the sixties (ca. 1964) by Ivor Cooke as an English produced and published series/label that slowly evolved to a Danish produced and published series. This label combines, amongst others, Mini-Climax. Possibly related is Pearl Films that was published in 8mm boxes that are almost identical to Climax 8mm boxes. The Climax (UK) series has a connection with the Climax in Color series and with that is also related to Spar Sex Corporation (a Danish pornographic film publisher and film laboratory) due to the fact that on the Climax-in-Color 8mm sex film series several of the Climax (UK) loops were (re-)published in a slightly shorter version.
The early Climax films were produced in England, with possibly some Danish connection (production of optical copies?). When Denmark loosened its legislation on pornography during the late sixties and became the first country to legalize all pornography in 1969, the entire production and company moved (or was sold) to Denmark and continued as a Danish production company. Most of the material published was still the loops previously produced and filmed in England, though some, like Beach-Girls and the 30-meter Mini-Climax loop O’My Pussy featuring Miss Climax Ilse, appear to be filmed in Denmark.
This series/label shipped their films in 8mm boxes with several designs ranging from plain white or red boxes without print to white boxes with a single color print. The plain boxes have a photo glued to the front, in most cases, listing the loop title. The bulk of the single color print boxes came with a glued-on cover photo; some (single color print) Climax Original type boxes came with a (full color) printed cover image but the box appears to allow the option to have a photo glued over the print. The exception is the purple color print Climax Original box series that came with (full color) printed cover images instead of a photo.
The cover photos used on the boxes in this series do not always display the actual content of the included loop, although they belong to the original packaging; they are not always film stills, but will display a similar setting or a still from a related loop. The loop titles on the photos may vary on other releases of the same loop, and the title used on the film title-cards may not match the title displayed on the cover.
