Satyr, Uncut Movie (1997)

Description: A flickering fire in a pit casts shadows on a cave wall of a couple, half-human, half-animal, engaged in sex. The shadows have tails and small horns. There's a sense of something strangely primitive, almost mythological... Director Michael Zen takes you on a journey into the netherworld. A mystical place where angels fear to tread & debauchery runs rampant.

Review:
Fans like me lamenting the death of Adult Cinema with a story need only go back to bygone eras: the Golden Age of theatrical porn features in the '70s and this big-budget feature from the productive late '90s.
Michael Zen treats his fantasy/horror subject matter with respect and for the most part the film plays like a mainstream genre film, only with better costumes and of course, sexual content. Jenna Jameson stars (she was Number One in the industry at the time) as a college student who goes to Asia Carrera's mansion to research her paper on animal mythology. Raven Touchstone's fine screenplay deals not just with the mythical being of a Satyr but also the more modern use of the term to describe an oversexed human.
Sex scenes are as lavish as the costumes by Ms. September and make-up artiste Lee Garland, with latter providing stunning hairdos for leads Jenna, Carrera and Stacy Valentine. As reviews note, Stacy steals the spotlight in her majestic three-way sex scene with Peter North and Tom Byron, which only proves that even at the peak of her popularity and industry clout, Jameson did not pull rank and complain about another actress stealing her thunder. The resulting film is better for it.
Carrera is also enticing in the movie's most dramatic role, and Brad Armstrong in his young stud years is very appealing as a disdainful, almost effete leading man and also the title Satyr. Final silhouette shot of him and Jenna humping away , horns and all, now as figures of legend is a terrific ending to a skilful fantasy.
