John Leslie and Georgina Spelvin do not appear in the French original. Blue One has rereleased the French original on DVD, but has cut it to 62 minutes. The French version ends with a softcore orgy. The only hardcore action in this orgy is male on male action between Guy Royer and Thierry De Brem, but uncredited stand-ins were used for penetration shots.
Description:
Véronique Maugarski and Erika Cool are meant to be girls from Sweden who go to Paris and see an advert for air hostesses - no experience necessary. The airline seems to be selling mile-high club experiences. The in-flight movie is a porn film (the same one as the family watch in Shocking!) and the hostesses have sex with the passengers and the female pilots with each other. The passengers include an Arab sheikh, two 'American' men in cowboy hats, an old millionaire and a swinging couple, plus a man who only wants to sleep (Jean-Louis Vattier). There are flashbacks to the previous sexual encounters of the passengers.
We see the couple having sex on a bed and the wife looking bored and then having sex in the cellar of a bar where the wife sees a poster advertising these flights. On the plane she sucks off her husband and then goes round the rest of the passengers.
The cowboys are fond of practical jokes. They pick up a prostitute (Cécile Carole) and take her back to their hotel room where they have rigged a bucket of water to fall on her head as she enters the room first.
We see the sheikh and two of his harem (Sophie Bulle) in a hotel.
The millionaire has a permanent erection but can't cum and we see a couple of females hired by his doctor to try to bring him to a climax. The blonde (Carole Gire) arrives at a posh doctor's consulting room to take over from an exhausted brunette (Maryline Guillaume, whom we don't see in action) and then gets exhausted herself as she fails. The millionaire hopes to achieve an orgasm if the plane goes high enough and when that height is reached the three hostesses leap on him. Success is the trigger for a free for all, including the arab asking to bugger someone - the male in the swinging couple volunteers. Before this, a male (Thierry de Brem), goes into a backward roll on the floor in order to lick his own cock and cum in his own face, to the amusement of the three hostesses.
Review:
Ah, the late 70s Euro porn scene. Take a deep breath and sniff that sleazy, yet somehow sweet, air. This particular film is no worse and no better than most of the other examples of its kind (that "kind" being the light, frothy, sweet Euro porn film that doesn't seem to really exist anymore in this world of Christophe Clark and Rocco pain and degradation marathons.) The story is nothing to write home about: it's one of those "sex plane" type things. It's about a specialized airline that offers its passengers more than just peanuts and an in-flight movie. No, these passengers are here for the sex, doled out by the lovely hostesses of the title. What stands out here is the presence of the absolutely amazing Karine Gambier, who is at her fleshy, gorgeous best. She is such a free spirit, and one can't help but smile whenever she's on screen. She's not given much to do acting-wise in this film, which is a shame since she was one of the best pure actors in this genre (Brigitte Lahaie was good as well and was able to make it into semi-mainstream films; Gambier, although putting in jaw-dropping performances in films directed by Jess Franco and Edwin Deitrich, never quite made as far as her more famous contemporary.) All in all, a fun, sexy, hardcore film that is forgettable but enjoyable. A note for the more closed-minded viewer: there is a short gay-male sex scene in this, so, if you're not comfortable with your sexuality, you may want to skip this (or just forward past the scene.)
