Review:
The term "not for all tastes" is one I often use as a cop-out, meaning "I liked it, but I think you might not" (for whatever reason). BOILING POINT, issued by Alpha Blue Archives as INTIMATE ILLUSIONS is the opposite case - I didn't like it but it is so chock-full of stuff (as Chuck Barris used to put it) I daresay some people may get excited about it.

Instead of a lengthy, blow by blow description, I suggest you check out this rather crazy movie yourself - it has an anything-goes quality that is better experienced than parsed. Opening scenes are conventional enough with John Leslie comfortably cast as a cop and Jon Martin in shades having a lot of fun in a character role as a serial rapist (but appealing guy?? - you have to watch it to see), with some crazy stunt-filed chase scenes thrown in that are way, way beyond the skills of most if not all porn directors.

The sexy leading lady looked to me like Suzannah French, one of my favorite loops stars (best in the mixed-combo 14-INCH ROOT), but identifies her behind a "Sylvia Rogers" pseudonym as Lisa Sue Corey.

The misadventures of both Leslie and Martin eventually lead to a nightclub where all hell breaks loose. The anonymous director billed as "Paul Levis" has a live rock band made up like a porn version of KISS, but stages weird and professionally choreographed production numbers that involve sex, creating an impressive orgy atmosphere. If the hundreds of deadly dull movie orgies all had the energy and cinematic drive (story board anyone?) of this one I wouldn't be so down on them per se.

Desiree Cousteau pops up as part of the dancing/humping/writhing bodies along with other luminaries like Don Fernando, and I'm certain that at least from a casting call standpoint BOILING POINT was a big deal production back when it was shot. I also speculate that the results were too far out to register with fans who, like myself, appreciate structure. In BOILING POINT the original storyline is more or less discarded once the fireworks start.
This wild romp starts out as a pot-boiling thriller before turning into a full-fledged group sex spectacular. The first half of the film concerns hold-up man Jon Martin, who flees the scene of his crime -- only to end up hiding out at the house of the same cop who's chasing him! He makes the most of his time there, getting down and dirty with the cop's delectable young wife. Soon enough, the cop comes home and chases him out, and that's when the flick makes a quick left turn. We then watch as a cheeky babysitter enjoys some lesbian love with her client, and finally the action moves to a disco orgy party in which everyone gets in on the fun. A slap-happy sexvid that delivers plenty of passion!
