Since director Paul Thomas has had so many recent successes (Brat Girl, Sleeping Beauty Aroused), I can forgive him and the occasional clunker. In Snatched, Byron and Silvera play somewhat incompetent detective brothers hired by Sasha to fin some money. But due to a really confusing script, and even more due to loud, background music playing over key dialog, exact details of the plot are lost to me, as probably is some of the typical Thomas humor. That’s too bad. Because with the evident departure of Damon Christian, Thomas is presently the best director of sexually explicit comedy. The action scenes are all okay, but the Nina DePonca/North/Aja trio is an erotic standout. A disappointing entry from people who have done much better.

Aja looks better than ever, and Peter North is the young stud he used to be in 1989 when this movie was made. Every scene is a winner, and the only sad part is that I cannot locate a copy of this movie. For an x rated movie, even the acting is decent, the camera work outstanding, and its actually a movie that won't have you hitting the fast forward button at any time. Tom Byron and Nina are equally entertaining, as is Sasha, one of my favorites. Paul Thomas directed this flick, early in his directing career, only shortly after he quit acting in films. Aja plays the part of a lady detective (smitty, or something like that) as does North, but the plot if a little on the weak side.
