Description: Who knows the life and habits of the few people who settled next to highways? Who could imagine what happens sometimes in quiet truck cabs parked in parking areas? Everybody knows the toilet stop, the fries and fast food, but have you ever noticed how strange the concentration of luxury cars in parking lots looks like?

Review:
"Les Putes de l'autoroute", directed by Michel Ricaud and starring Carole Tredille, is an adult film that lives up to its name, embracing the seedy underbelly of highway prostitution with a realistic and unglamorous depiction of the sex trade. It's a gritty, unapologetic ride that showcases Tredille's acting prowess and willingness to push boundaries.

The film follows a group of women who sell their bodies along a seedy stretch of highway, their lives a relentless cycle of negotiating prices, pleasing clients, and surviving. Tredille's character, a veteran of this trade, takes a younger prostitute under her wing, teaching her the ropes of this dangerous and demeaning world.

The scenes are explicit and leave little to the imagination. From the opening scene, where Tredille's character services a trucker in the front seat of his rig, to various acts performed in the back seats of cars, the camera captures the raw, transactional nature of these encounters.

Tredille's performance is a standout. She brings depth to her character, conveying a sense of world-weariness and resignation that adds a layer of complexity to the film. Her acting ability is on full display, conveying a range of emotions from despair to fleeting moments of joy and camaraderie with her fellow prostitutes.

The film does an effective job of portraying the harsh realities of this world, from the constant threat of violence to the dehumanizing nature of the work. However, it falls short in terms of narrative depth and character development beyond Tredille's central performance. The supporting characters are largely one-dimensional, and the story, while compelling, fails to build to a satisfying climax.

The grittiness of the film's aesthetic adds to its impact. Shot on what appears to be a low budget, the film embraces a grainy, almost documentary-style look that suits the subject matter. The highway locations and seedy motels provide a stark backdrop to the action, emphasizing the isolation and vulnerability of the characters.

In terms of the sexual content, the film delivers on its promise of explicitness. The acts are varied and include a range of fetishes and fantasies, from domination to anal play. The film pushes boundaries, and while some may find certain scenes degrading, they are in line with the film's unflinching portrayal of the sex trade.

The French have done it again. Great, but grimy movie that has a realistic plot, story to tell. Porn with a plot. I would love to have a copy of this film. Hardcore, sometimes brutal, but captivating to watch.
